Bob Jones help most progressive state in the south, North Carolina or “klansville.” It was called Klansville because in the 1960s, North Carolina's KKK membership grew to some ten thousand members. The KKK was originally a fraternal club that had terrorized freed slaves and posed as dead confederate officers. However, it turned worse they began to murder blacks, threw them off bridges and hung blacks. The first kkk did not last that long but after the film a Birth of nation it had sparked the revival off Klan in 1920. It was very big in unsuspecting cities like. Detroit and Portland. Many off the Public officials were elected due to popularity of the kkk.

By the 1930’s it had been ripped apart. They then again Rose after brown vs board of education. They had targeted Poor white people because they did not like blacks because the blacks were getting more help from the government than poor whites.

When Bob jones became the grand wizard, Jones declared that the kkk should had of had the same rights to protest as the blacks. So, in the Summer of 1964 bob jones had rallies open to whites only. The rallies only had twenty klans man but hundreds of thousands of supporters. The tone of rallies changed as it went dark at the end of a rally they burnt crosses.
